Community Programs
Fostering a Resilient and Equitable Rural Economy across Northern California
The most northern parts of California share unique opportunities and challenges. At North Edge, we seek to be a convener of thought leaders and innovation for supporting economic development in our region. We support and lead a variety of programming that strengthens an equitable rural economy and fosters collaboration amongst our different counties.
Redwood Region RISE (Resilient Inclusive Sustainable Economy)
Redwood Region RISE is a California Jobs First regional community coalition of 100 seated members engaging a community of nearly a thousand residents working together to develop a 10-year vision that aims to bring good, sustainable jobs to Tribal Lands, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, and Mendocino Counties - through the California Jobs First (previously known as Community Economic Resilience Fund [CERF]) initiative.
Humboldt Child Care Stabilization Fund
It’s no secret that rural communities often struggle to offer sustainable and affordable child care. The ARPA Child Care Stabilization Fund actively supports key programs for child care providers in our region. Retention bonuses, hiring bonuses, as well as forgivable loans for child care facilities are just a few of the ways the Child Care Stabilization Fund has supported child care providers in Humboldt County.
